New Wine

Before the corona-virus pandemic became a world-wide threat- Asher and Curren and Me were on and off sick for about a solid month. I was not able to spend the amount of time I would normally give to Tusc (thankfully I have the best hunnies to keep the store moving and grooving)... I felt like I didn't have enough energy, time, strength in me to be enough for my family and Tusc... all these feelings led me to just cry out to God for wisdom with Tusc and a word of encouragement for this season. On March 6th, I was on the floor of my closet... this is where I seem to find His voice best.. He whispered to me the verse "Behold, I am doing a new thing; now it springs forth, do you not perceive it? I will make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert." Isaiah 43:19 and that the song "New Wine" by Hillsong Worship was my anthem. Below is just a portion of this song...

In the crushing
In the pressing
You are making
New wine
In the soil, I
Now surrender
You are breaking
New ground
So I yield to You
and to Your careful hand
When I trust You
I don't need to understand
Make me Your vessel
Make me an offering
Make me whatever
You want me to be
I came here with nothing
But all You have given me
Jesus, bring new wine out of me

At first I thought this song and the verse was just for me in this season, but now with everything going on with corona virus... how it is not only affecting the health of the world but affecting every aspect of our lives. I feel like the Lord put it on my heart to share with y'all and that you can cling to this hope as well!

When I first heard about the corona virus, I wanted to learn the definition. Interestingly enough-- the word "corona" means 'crown' and 'the part of the sun that we can all see.' Obviously you can tell I like to look for signs lol... Jesus is the son of God and He can work all circumstances for our good.

"As for you, you meant evil against me, but God meant it for good." (Genesis 50:20)

We are praying for the health of our city, nation, and the world. That He would preserve us as a people and help us to flourish once again! That hope would reign in our hearts, and that in this time we would focus not only on our own needs but the needs of others.

For the rest of the month:

And as Asher would say.. "peace love and recycle"
