We can't wait to see you this Thursday, July 12th, 6 pm - 8 pm! Brooke Eagle will be in Tusc live painting as we highlight her new travel inspired abstract collection. There will also be some refreshing La Croix Coconut Lime Mocktails and discounts on select summer clothing! Below, Brooke shares more about the places that inspired each of the paintings:
“Waimea Bay” 24x30 $590
Beautiful blues and swimming at this beach on the North Shore of Oahu, even some cliff jumping and a hike to waterfall nearby. Be sure to grab some coffee at the insta famous Sunrise Shack, and stop by the food truck Pupukea for a quick amazing lunch. Also check out the awesome shops, galleries and restaurants in Haleiwa- The Elephant Shack and Banzai Sushi Bar were some of our favs.
“Banzai Pipeline” 24x48 $990
My husband was so excited to visit the North Shore of Oahu for the Pipe masters surf competition. This piece was inspired by our time there, the waves were unlike any I've seen before. The movement of the surfers with their boards, the spectators with the beach was pure magic. The ocean breaking on the reef in shallow waters created thick curls of water, or barrels, that the surfers glided right through. Its only recommended for the pros because its considered one of the worlds deadliest waves but and amazing place to sit and soak it all in.
“JI Raya Ubud” 30x40 $770
This street in Ubud is where we experienced so much culture in Bali. During our time there, there was a royal cremation ceremony which included a parade down the street full of traditional Balinese clothing, music, dance and giant figures covered in fresh flowers were built on top of a series of huge bamboo grids. I could (and should) write a whole blog post on this ceremony! Ubud is such a peaceful place filled with rice terraces and rainforest, waterfalls, temples, and unlimited delicious and colorful vegan food. Don't leave without trying out Kismet- a delicious vegetarian restaurant. I got the vegan nuggets (you literally would never know the difference) with the Asian salad bowl topped with tempeh and satay skewers. It is making my mouth water just thinking about it, yum.
“Uluwatu” 24x24 $530
Uluwatu has some of the most gorgeous shades of water and beautiful waves that I have ever seen! It is on the south-western tip of the Bukit Peninsula of Bali, Indonesia and is a def must visit for surfers and non surfers! Be sure to grab a bite at Single Fin that overlooks the surf, or Coco & Poke if you’re in the mood for building your own delicious poke bowl.
“Wategos” 24x30 $590
Wategos beach is an amazing spot on the coast of Byron Bay, Australia. This beach holds a long boarders dream waves and unreal views. If you want an epic morning, walk down this beach on your way up to the Byron Bay lighthouse and catch the sunrise. For a luxury boutique hotel experience (or some mouth watering dining at a precious spot on the water) Raes on Wategos is a must!
"Jonson Street" 30x40 $770
Jonson Street is on one the main streets through Byron Bay and is the perfect explanation of Byron- so colorful and vibrant. Every single cafe and store is beautifully designed and just feels like such a happy place as buskers sing and dance on the sidewalks all around you. Check out happy hour at Balcony everyday from 4-6 and $1 oyster hour wednesdays from 5-6!
"Lawson Street" 24x24 $530
Taking a bike ride down Lawson street which runs parallel to the ocean in Byron Bay is one of my favorites. There are amazing views of the coastline almost the entire time as you make your way up to the Lighthouse. It also holds some of the boutiques like Auguste the Label.
“Byron Beach” 48x48 $1290
Byron Beach is the main beach sitting by Dening Park- another awesome spot to bring a picnic, watch the sunset and catch live music with amazing busking some nights. The park is right across from a legendary pub across the road, the Beach Hotel which is great for a Sunday session (what the Aussies call grabbing drinks with friends for a great start to the week :) Be careful of the jellies at this beach! When we were there, we saw like 15 people get stung in the span of 15 minutes. Don't let it scare you away though, just ask the lifeguard if the current is bringing in jellies that day, ha.
