A Peek Into Our Wedding Planning

A Peek Into Our Wedding Planning

Hi friends!!

I’m Sadie, and I’m currently the store manager here at Tusc! I recently got engaged to my high school sweetheart, Luke (still can’t believe I get to say that!!). If you’ve found yourself in the whirlwind of wedding planning, just know: you are not alone.

Carissa encouraged me to start writing some of this down, and it made us think… maybe walking through this season together could be helpful for someone else too. So here’s a little glimpse into Luke and I’s planning process — the highs, the chaos, the sacred little moments, and all the decisions in between.

This isn’t a “how to” or a Pinterest-perfect checklist. It’s just one real-life bride figuring it out as she goes and trying to keep her eyes fixed on what matters most — love, grace, and Jesus at the center of it all.

A little about our vision:

We’re dreaming of a day that feels like us — simple, beautiful, and rooted in peace. The colors we’re drawn to are soft greens, creamy whites, and of course… lots of hydrangeas. Think timeless, garden-y, a little bit Southern, and full of grace.

But beyond the florals and fabrics, our biggest prayer is that our wedding reflects the heart of God — that it would be more than a celebration, but a reflection of His goodness in our story. We want people to walk away from that day feeling seen, loved, and reminded of His faithfulness.

What this journal will be:

My hope is that this becomes a cozy little corner for brides-to-be (or just curious friends) to come and feel like we’re chatting over coffee. I’ll be sharing everything from:

  • My dress experience (!!!)

  • Bachelorette outfit finds

  • Tips I’ve picked up from planning

  • Sweet details from showers + parties

  • Books I’ve loved in this season

  • And some honest encouragement when it all feels a little overwhelming

One thing I’m learning already? You can’t please everyone — and you’re not supposed to. Wedding planning has brought out some people-pleasing tendencies I didn’t know were there, but it’s also an invitation to practice peace. The kind of peace that only Jesus can give. The kind that reminds me this isn’t about perfection — it’s about joy, grace, and preparing my heart for marriage, not just one day.

Whether you’re deep in your planning, just getting started, or simply love all things weddings — welcome. I’m so glad you’re here.

Here’s to slowing down when we can, soaking in the joy, and remembering that at the end of the day… it’s about love.

Thanks for reading — I can’t wait to share more with you soon 💌

With many blessings,

Sadie
