A message from our Store Owner and Founder Carissa Long:
Tusc mornings of prayer ~
We loved having the shop opened up to y'all for morning worship this past year. We always felt the Holy Spirit move and felt his presence while ministering and encouraging one another.
The part that really seemed to be the most powerful was the time of prayer. Where all of us would gather and lay hands on one another to pray for different things going on in our lives. Some were prayers of healing, others of mending relationships, and freedom in different areas of our lives.
We are feeling a call to shift this new year and want to gather outside of the store. In prayer we pictured the sea behind us as we met together. We especially want a place for all of our children to come play and run freely. We know our community is made up of many mothers and never want our families to feel like a hinderance. We want all of us to be able to come together to stand with one another in prayer.
Wrightsville Beach, Access 36 is the spot we have chosen on 8am January, 5th for our first prayer morning. The prayer focus for this gathering will be Surrender as we transition into 2024. The Lord has really impressed on my heart the need to submit my plans and goals to Him first and I know I need His grace and strength to do so. . During our prayer time we will simply bring our goals and plans, including our burdens and fears before Jesus. As well as encouraging one another and uplifting each other. We want to step into the new year trusting in His unchanging faithfulness and goodness, regardless of our circumstances. Here are a few verses we will be praying into during our time if you'd like to reflect on them before hand.
Bible verses in reference to Surrender and Submission --
Proverbs 16:3 - Commit to the Lord whatever you do, and he will establish your plans.
Matthew 11:28 - Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.
Romans 12:2 - Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.
Proverbs 3:5-6 - Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.
